Franco S et al., Pain Research and Management 2026

In a manufacturer-sponsored, double-blind, sham-controlled RCT of 64 adults with painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), 3 weeks of twice-daily home use of a dual-wavelength (640 nm red + 405 nm violet) low-level laser device on the feet gave more people at least a 30% drop in foot pain than sham (72.7% vs 32.3%, intention-to-treat with imputation). Short-term pain outcome only (to week 7), small trial, and the active arm guessed its allocation above chance.
